In this area you will meet Daughters of Charity who want to
share their personal vocation stories with you.
I am Sister Phyllis Nolan. I have been a member of the Company
of Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul since I was 18; serving
God and His friends in Missouri, Nevada, Puerto Rico, Texas, and for
20 years in Bolivia, South America. I have truly loved 21 years
of teaching in schools, as well as 28 now in parish catechetical and
pastoral ministry. Here in Arkansas, I am happy to be working
with Hispanic people, and thank God for the human and spiritual enrichment
of 35 years among them.
Looking back over these 50 years, there are so many blessings to thank God for:
my wonderful family, my faith, my loved vocation. I LOVE what life CALLS
me to: to be totally given to God for the service of Christ in the person of
those who are poor, to become more and more fully a Daughter of Charity according
to the heart of Christ and of St. Vincent de Paul. Pray for me that I do
that! And if God speaks to your heart, calls you to such a life, say YES
with all your being. You will never regret it!
